Hello from Alberta, Canada! I was on a New Mexico Zoom meeting a while ago & your PMWGM Christine Carmichael was also in attendance. Our incoming WGM, Lorna Richmond, is originally from Scotland & will most likely be getting in touch with you. I'm sure she will be seeing some of you on the EOS trail once we are out of COVID restrictions. (wishing I will be able to also). Stay safe & healthy.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Brother John B Whyte PMWGP. I was so fortunate to meet him when I visited your Supreme Grand Session in April 2009. He was a wonderful host to me and my travel companion. I send my condolences to your assembly, his family, and all who knew this gentle man.

How wonderful to come across my Grandmother's Certificate for the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a member of the now dormant St. Andrew's Cross and her certificate was dated September 8th, 1947. Just a few years before she and my Grandpa along with my Mom, Betty Mcfarlane, and her brother, Walter Mcfarlane immigrated to Canada.

I imagine that after the war many were struggling and needing the support and charity of others. Thank goodness for organizations like the Order of the Eastern Star!
